So you want to be a writer? On Kathy's original website published in 1998 she offered several sites to visit that will point you in the right direction.
So in redesigning her site and bring it up to date I decided to maintain the integrity of her original idea but update it slightly. Some of the recommended sites she used regularly but others I have found to be out of date so we will give you ours and her recommendations and you can choose for yourself. Either way we won't give you a bad recommendation. So here goes!
For great Bible Study Tools we have two that won't disappoint you, they are Liberty University site. Also one of our favorites is Ray Stedman -- Ray Stedman was the former pastor of the Peninsula Bible Church in California. He is one of the greatest Bible teachers we know. Both sites are easy to navigate. One other favorite of Kathy's is Goshen Bible Tools. This is a great site also.
Another great source for Bible study is Bible Gateway. Practically any Bible translation is available for cross references. Check them out also.
Doing a lot of research? You can't beat the Virtual Reference Desk site. There isn't any information you can't find here. Great for students plowing through term papers, business, medical, whatever.
If you have some articles that you want to publish online and don't know how here's a site for you. The Publish Online site offers a lot of pointers for putting your writing on the web. Another aid to writers can be found at Terry Whalin's site. Terry is a former editor of Decision Magazine. When you click on an article you want to read, it's immediately sent to your e-mail address. Makes it nice for filing and reading later.
The Amy Foundation site is a must-visit! This amazing group (founded by Jim Russell and named after his daughter, Amy) furnishes material for writers groups on how to write for the secular print media; you know, letters to the editor in magazines, newspapers and so forth. A few years ago Kathy had the privilege of conducting such a group, and a fair amount of their letters were published in the Orange County Register, Santa Ana, Ca. It was nothing to see approximately 10 to 12 people meeting in our home on a Monday morning planning their strategy for answering those comments. Amy Foundation will give you all the tools to do this and it's a great ministry. Check it out! they also offer a cash award for the best articles published in a secular publication, either print or online. The first place award is $10,000 - well worth trying for. A second place award of $5,000 and several lesser prizes, all worth trying for. We hope you will check the Amy Foundation's website and write, write write. You can do it!
Here's a site you will love. Are you looking for "original photo's" for art for your home or office. We know this photographer - Kurt Rozelle. In fact we have known him since he was a small boy. He is a wonderful photographer. Take a look at his site and we know you will want some of his "one-of-a-kind" photo's mounted on your walls. They are great. Here is the link to his site.
There is one additional site you must see! A couple of years ago when this credit crisis began to show for so many people, my daughter Leslie and I were looking for some way to help people with credit problems. Thus, our website titled 1-800BadCredit.com. Our website provides vehicle & mortgage loans, credit counseling, credit repair, identity theft protection and credit cards. If you or someone you know, has bad credit, please visit our site at 1-800BadCredit.com!
